To facilitate the building of a new Marae it was decided that the school property at Ararata would be an ideal location. The photos shown will give an idea as to the current status of the property. December 2004

A small blessing was held on Easter Saturday to begin the process of  development of the property shown above in its current condition. The people attending vowed to commence immediately  to achieve all our dreams.

The acquisition of Ararata School is now finalised and the Marae Committee with have the task of cleaning it up and when ready everyone will be invited to a blessing ceremony where the ahua of Te Kokako will be reborn and christened with a new name.
